Project Statement
The Parks is a photography project that documents the ever-evolving relationship between people and America’s National & State Parks.
These photos emphasize the viewers within the view. Subverting the idealized image of the American West by showing the present day realities – crowds of visitors, tour buses, parking lots, strollers, families and somewhere in between all of it – the magic of these natural spaces.
