Project Statement

The Parks is a photography project that works to document the interaction between humans and nature within America’s National & State Parks.

This project emphasizes the viewers instead of the view. Subverting the idealized landscape of the American West by showing it’s present day realities – tourists, buses, parking lots, camera, strollers. How do these interact? And can meaning be found at the end of a selfie stick?
